STUDI KASUS SISWA YANG MENGALAMI KENCANDUAN GAME ONLINE PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstrak

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui perilaku dari kaecanduan bermain game online pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 01 Nanga Pinoh yang meliputi gambaran awal kecanduan game online yang dialami siswa, faktor penyebab kecanduan game online, dampak yang ditimbulkan dari kecanduan game online dan bagaimana pelaksanaan bantuan layanan konseling untuk menangani kecanduan game online yang dialami siswa pada masa pandemi covid-19. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus dengan berdasarkan responden dan informan sebagai bahan sumber data. Dalam proses pengumpulan data digunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara, dimana setelah data diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, bahwa subyek kasus (JV) mulai mengenal dan kecanduan game online sejak SMP, bermain 1-3 jam paling sedikitnya, pernah, mencoba berhenti namun gagal dan terus menjadi kecanduan karena tersedianya waktu luang yang banyak dan fasilitas pendukung untuk bermain game online dirumah serta adanya faktor sosial dari pertemanan yang bermain game online. Penanganan kecanduan game online yang di alami subyek kasus (JV) yaitu dengan melaksanakan layanan dengan pendekatan konseling behavioral menggunakan teknik self-control untuk menyusun, membimbing, mengatur, dan mengarahkan bentuk perilaku subyek kasus kearah yang lebih positif agar bisa melakukan pengendalian diri dengan memikirkan pertimbangan terlebih dahulu sebelum akan bertindak melakukan sesuatu. Kata Kunci: Kecanduan, game online
