STUDI KASUS TENTANG RASA PERCAYA DIRI SISWA DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA NEGERI 1 JONGKAT

Abstrak

: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran siswa yang memiliki kepercayaan diri rendah di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 jongkat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data (1) DCM; (2) Sosiometri; (3) Angket kepercayaan diri; (4) wawancara; (5) dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil intrumen yang telah disebarkan di kelas VII C dengan jumlah 25 orang didapatlah 2 konseli yang memiliki jumlah masalah terbanyak sehingga di jadikan konseli dalam penelitian ini. Karakteristik rendahnya percaya diri siswa meliputi ragu-ragu dalam mengambil keputusan, kesulitan dengan lingkungan sosialnya dan mempunyai sikap konformis, memandang kemampuannya rendah menjadi tidak berdaya dan merasa hidupnya sudah diatur oleh nasib. Sikap itu menyebabkan mudah menyerah, kurangnya keyakinan akan keberhasilan masa depan, membatasi usaha yang seharusnya dapat dilakukan, dan takut gagal. Penanganan rendahnya percaya diri siswa yaitu menggunakan pendekatan konseling singkat berfokus solusi (SFBC) dengan teknik exception question, miracle question, scalling question dan formula first session/FFST. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengungkap fakta-fakta yang terjadi pada saat penelitian. Fakta-fakta yang dimaksud berupa gambaran siswa yang memiliki kepercayaan diri rendah, faktor-faktor penyebab dan upaya penanggulangannya
