Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kecerdasan emosional pada siswa kelas XI, Metode yang di gunakan adalah deskriptif yaitu penelitian pendekatan kuantitatif yang menggambarkan keadaan subjek dan objek penelitian pada saat sekarang berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang tampak, bentuk penelitian adalah survey, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu, teknik komunikasi langsung, komunikasi tidak langsung, dan teknik studi documenter, sedangkan alat pengumpulan datanya yaitu, skala psikologis, dan panduan wawancara/interview, dan studi documenter dan populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI Akutansi dan Keungan (AK), Manajemen Perkantoran (MP), dan Perhotelan (PH) dengan jumlah populasi 60 orang siswa, dan sampel yang di ambil keseluruhannya. Dari data yang telah terkumpul kemudian di susun dan di gambarkan secara objektif dalam bentuk narasi, maka memperoleh persentase rata-rata 67,36% dengan kategori “Tinggi” hal ini menunjukan bahwa kecerdasan emosional sangat signifikan dengan nilai perkembangan Pendidikan siswa kelas XI di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak Kecamatan Pontianak Barat, sesuai dengan aspek mengenali emosi diri sendiri, aspek mengelola emosi, aspek memotivasi diri sendiri, aspek mengenal emosi orang lain dan aspek membina hubungan dengan orang lain.
