Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman siswa tentang upaya pencegahan kekerasan di lingkungan satuan pendidikan tingkat Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan melibatkan 111 siswa kelas VI dari empat Sekolah Dasar Negeri, yaitu SDN 44 Pontianak Barat, SDN 17 Pontianak Kota, SDN 36 Pontianak Kota, dan SDN 09 Pontianak Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek bentuk kekerasan dipahami oleh 86% siswa, dengan bentuk-bentuk kekerasan yang paling banyak dikenali adalah kekerasan fisik, verbal, dan sosial. Sementara itu, 81% siswa memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang kekerasan, namun masih ada ruang untuk peningkatan, khususnya dalam memahami bentuk kekerasan yang kurang terlihat. Dalam hal sikap terhadap kekerasan, sebanyak 86% siswa menolak kekerasan, menunjukkan kesadaran yang tinggi untuk menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dan bebas dari kekerasan. Kesimpulannya, meskipun pemahaman siswa tentang kekerasan sudah tinggi, peningkatan program pencegahan yang lebih intensif tetap diperlukan untuk memperdalam pengetahuan siswa dan memperkuat sikap anti-kekerasan. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pada kebijakan pencegahan kekerasan di sekolah dasar di Kota Pontianak.
