Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  menerapkan dan mengurangi rasa cemas siswa. Kecemasan sosial yang dialami siswa yang menyebabkan kesulitan dalam penyesuaian lingkungan sehingga siswa kesulitan saat berhadapan dengan teman yang baru,  interaksi dengan guru dan lingkungan sosial yang berada disekolah ini,  kecemasan sosial yang juga ditemukan  di SMK Koperasi Pontianak, dengan penerapan  Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy dengan melakukan konseling individual untuk penerapan kesadaran diri tentang pola pikir yang tidak sehat atau irasional. Bentuk penelitian ini yaitu  metode kualitatif deskriptif yaitu suatu penelitian untuk lebih memahami gejala-gejala yang muncul, penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus sebagai bentuk penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengetahui dan mendapatkan data yang lengkap dan akurat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari subjek kasus ini dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah studi kasus yaitu: 1. Identifikasi Kasus, 2. Diagnosis, 3. Prognosis, 4. Treatment, 5. Tindak lanjut dan 6. Evaluasi, selanjutnya dilakukan pemeliharaan agar klien tetap berada dalam kondisi sekarang, untuk itu meminta bantuan kepada orang tua, wali kelas subjek kasus untuk mengamati perkembangan subjek kasus kedepannya mengenai perkembangan agar rasa cemas berkurang, gugup, dan tidak percaya diri. Selanjutnya diadakan kerjasama dengan subjek kasus dalam hal untuk mempertahankan kemajuan-kemajuan yang telah diperoleh subjek kasus akan menjadi lebih baik lagi di kedepannya.
