Abstrak

Game online atau permainan daring adalah jenis permainan yang dapat dimainkan melalui koneksi internet. Game ini menjadi hiburan bagi mereka untuk mencari kesenangan. Bermain game telah menjadi aktivitas rutin dalam kehidupan sehari-hari remaja untuk menghabiskan wa ktu, sehingga mereka sering kali kehilangan kesadaran tentang berapa lama mereka telah menghabiskan waktu hanya untuk bermain game. Hal ini mengakibatkan siswa kecanduan game online dan sulit untuk fokus dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi kecanduan game online dengan teknik self management di SMP Negeri 11 Kota Pontianak. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dan penyebaran angket kepada 32 siswa dengan sampel 6 orang siswa, menggunakan metode penelitian mix method. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan konseling kelompok dengan teknik self management untuk mengurangi kecanduan game online secara signifikan dapat menurunkan kecanduan game online siswa. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini juga mengungkap adanya tantangan, terutama terkait perlunya kolaborasi yang lebih optimal antara pihak sekolah, orang tua, dan siswa itu sendiri
